A new sensor, using the latest optical and electrical technologies, monitoring tissue-cultured cells non-invasively, non-destructively, continuously and in real-time.

These sensors are used broadly to monitor the health and general characteristics of cells grownex vivo. We are specifically working in developing this technology to monitor the de-differentiation, proliferation, differentiation and expansion of stem cells – addressing a critical need in this industry for quality assurance and quality control of their products.

BioTSptech is part ofLAUNCH for campus enterprising and it is loacated at Edinburgh Research and Innovation Center at University of Edinburgh.  BioTSptech will collaborate with pureLiFi and take benefits of their membership with the commercialisation (or technology transfer) office at the University of Edinburgh.  Since that time, the University has successfully commercialised the world-class intellectual property (IP) it generates, with all the intellectual, social and economic benefits that flow from that.
